My brief visit to David's site

The image in David's abstract is one I took from the Global Challenge site. The site appears to build teams in various countries, to montior and simulate and research CO in the atmosphere. The image looks like a classical Stella-type stimulation. Stella and Madonna both use either an equation approach or a diagramatic approach to model building, so this looks like a sophisticated effort that David and his colleagues have constructed. I noted that Schlumerger is one of the support groups. I once contacted Schlumberger about setting up something in the Philippines, but they only supported projects in countries were they had representation, which they did not for the Philippines. But it lookls like Global Challenge might allow it. I think I could get High School Students at Silliman University High School to participate. The simulations/contests involve not only tracking changes over time, but picking courses of action to improve CO and other environmental and social variables. I urge becoming familiar with David's sites before the Conference, although I found the simschool site less transparent; it is targeted to teacher skills.
